It has been announced that a total of 75 million Turkish liras in prize money will be awarded within the scope of TEKNOFEST 2026.

Applications have begun for the competitions of the TEKNOFEST 2026 Aviation, Space, and Technology Festival, which will be hosted by Şanlıurfa this year. Special competitions are organized for young people from all levels of education, from primary school to master’s degree programs. At the same time, startups will also have the opportunity to showcase their skills in the competitions.

Where will TEKNOFEST 2026 be held?

TEKNOFEST 2026 will take place between September 30 and October 4 at Şanlıurfa GAP Airport. The deadline for applications to the technology competitions is February 20, 2026. This year, competitions will be held in 52 different categories and 127 subcategories as part of TEKNOFEST. Among this year’s competition categories, the “Steel Dome Air Defense Systems Competition” stands out in particular. New competition categories are added to TEKNOFEST every year.

Competitions to be held for the first time this year include:

– Electronic Warfare Competition
– Advanced Autonomous Systems Design and Operations Competition
– Mining Technologies Competition
– FPV Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Tracking Competition
– Technologies for the Benefit of Humanity Competition

Since its inception in 2018, more than 4 million young people have applied to TEKNOFEST. TEKNOFEST 2026 in Şanlıurfa will bring together young people, entrepreneurs, and technology enthusiasts around a shared vision. The festival will offer an inspiring experience for visitors of all ages with technology competitions, spectacular air shows, a planetarium, simulation experience areas, workshops, exhibition and fair zones, concerts, demonstrations, and various activities. In total, 75 million Turkish liras in prize money and more than 100 million liras in financial support will be provided,” the statement said.
